Expertise

A competence built before brokerage, not alongside it.

More than twenty years spent modelling risk, managing funds and advising on life insurance. It is this technical eye, more than the accumulation of years, that shapes every recommendation today.

Background

Tree viewed from below, a symbol of rootedness and solidity

Twenty years spent structuring institutional portfolios and advising family offices taught me something performance alone never says: the rarest value in managing wealth is not return, but governance. The roles of CIO and senior analyst impose a discipline in which approximation has no place. Every decision rests on a verifiable method, never on intuition.

Luxembourg life insurance struck me as the natural extension of that discipline: a framework where asset protection, decision traceability and comparability of solutions take precedence over the sales pitch. Becoming an independent broker means applying to families the same rigour as to institutions, without compromising on the confidentiality this work requires.

Actuarial science and fund management are not just another line on a résumé: this dual training feeds directly into the methodology for selecting companies and underlying investments, rather than serving as a mere credibility argument. An actuary reads a solvency report differently from a salesperson; a former fund manager assesses an investment vehicle differently from a distributor.

What can be verified, not just claimed

  • CAA licence No. 2020CP007, verifiable in one click on the official register of natural-person brokers.
  • No direct or indirect stake in the capital of any insurance company, bank or asset manager: the full implications of this status are set out on the Status & Remuneration page.
  • Fifteen hours of continuing training completed every year, forty-five hours over three years, in line with the requirements applicable in Luxembourg: a discipline that underpins the quality of advice on products whose regulatory framework changes every year.
  • Professional indemnity cover in line with the minimum European amounts in force since 2024, rarely disclosed by competing firms.

This rigour comes with a deliberate trade-off: the number of cases handled at any one time stays deliberately limited, so that each wealth situation gets the time and the systematic comparison across several companies that its complexity deserves. Selectivity by choice, not by constraint. The same discretion expected of any wealth advisory relationship.

Butterfly mosaic on a stone, an allegory for a lasting, light relationship

More than twenty years spent reading what few policies reveal about themselves. Actuarial science, fund management and Luxembourg life insurance brokerage: a selection methodology made public, rather than another sales promise.
